Againity ORC system
Againity’s robust ORC systems that converts heat into electricity
Patented turbine
Development and manufacturing of the ORC system take place in our own facilities in Norrköping, Sweden. The core component is an innovative steam turbine developed and patented by Againity.

Electricity from heat
Regardless of whether your heat source is a hot water boiler, industrial process, diesel generator, gas turbine or geothermal source, we have a solution for you.To operate the ORC system, a heat source is required. This can for example be:
• Boilers fueled/incinerated with wood chips, biogas, waste wood or waste
• Waste heat from industrial processes
• Waste heat from power plants such as gas turbines
• Geothermal sources such as underground water flows or boreholes
ORC technology
We convert low grade heat into clean electricity in a simple and profitable way.
Againity utilizes low temperature heat and converts it into clean electricity using our patented ORC system, Organic Rankine Cycle technology. The system can operate from temperatures as low as 80 °C while maintaining short payback time even for smaller systems.
The ORC system is driven by the pressure of an organic working fluid. The rotating turbine drives a generator that produces electricity. The working fluid is heated in the evaporator using hot water or another heat source above 80 °C. After expansion, the vapor is cooled in the condenser and the heat is transferred to a district heating network, local heating network or cooling circuit.
Total system efficiency has been measured at up to 99.5 %, meaning nearly all supplied heat is utilized as either electricity or useful heat.
The ORC system is delivered as a complete unit for connection to heat source, cooling and grid. Automatic operation and remote monitoring via TCP IP ensure reliable performance. Few moving parts minimize service requirements.

Modular ORC systems
Againity ORC systems are available from 50 to 10 000 kWe and can be installed in parallel for higher output.
Installed capacity is adapted to each project. Units are delivered pre assembled and ready for connection to hot water or steam and cooling water.
